Lent is a season of soul-searching, reflection, and seeking to know Jesus in a personal way. We worship, we pray, we “put down” the things that are distractions to our faith, and we “pick up” the things that help us seek God. This Season of Lent, we are offering a Wednesday night program where we will gather for dinner, share a devotion, and then do a service project to share God’s love with others. A Living Prayer.
Dinners will be served at 5:30pm, followed by devotions and the service project. All ages are welcome!
Feb. 24 - Games for Garlough. Bring a new or barely-used game to donate to Garlough Elementary School, and be prepared to play some fun games, too!
Mar. 3 – Neighbor’s, Inc. needs our help stuffing envelopes for their Annual Volunteer Appreciation Dinner! We’ll also be kicking off Minnesota Food Share Month by collecting much-needed items for Neighbor’s, Inc.
Mar. 10. We’ll be heading to Feed My Starving Children, 6-7:30pm. Please sign-up with Megan for this one – space is limited! And dinner will be early – 5pm, at the church.
Mar. 17. In honor of St. Patty’s Day, we are planning a “green” service project for our church neighborhood! For those who are able, dress for the weather, we’ll be spending a little bit of time outside!
Mar. 24th – Health Kits for UMCOR. We will be collecting items and assembling health kits to be sent to UMCOR for the people of Haiti!
