" I want a way to live that keeps me involved in what God is doing in me and in the world around me. Do you know a way to live that is like that?”
— Martha Schwehn, age 15
It’s a new school year—a time for new beginnings once again! And this year I have a challenge for you—for ALL of you—youth and adults! My challenge is this:
What are you going to do TODAY to live in a way that keeps you involved in what God is doing in you and in the world around you?
The church will be offering all kinds of ways this year to reach out to our community; to connect you with others in ways that can re-vitalize how you see your own faith; to help you grow in your understanding of how God is at work in you and in the world; to discover the gifts and talents you have to offer to God and ways to use them; and to honor your journey—where you are at right here and now!
When we engage in a life together—doing these things (reaching, connecting, growing, discovering, and honoring), we have the chance to get involved in what God is doing in us and in the world around us. It’s all about becoming part of the loving, challenging life of God.
It’s about having a vibrant and vital spirituality! I do hope you’ll join me in this great challenge!
